“No More Tolerating This Inequality And Violence, I’ve Made My Choice”

Representational image.

Why don’t you stop trying,

why bear so much pain, what is the gain?

You can’t change the world anyway, why act insane!

“Not the world, my story I want to change,

I wonder why you find it so strange,

if you can’t, then you can’t. But someone got to break the cage.”

It’s a visceral reaction, a phase that comes and passes;

you are no different, it’s a story of masses.

It’s not that cruel yet; another side no greener is the grass,

inability to restrain though, will lead you to loss. Alas!

“Thank you my so-called well-wisher. Try dissuading me, if not humiliating me.

I might be weak to fight, but surely that is no reason to continue with the plight.

No more tolerating this inequality, harassment and violence, I have made my choice.

A voice that challenges the status quo can’t be looking to rejoice. But silence too has its price.

I have made my choice!”
