The VHAH Fest Has Strengthened Tourism In The Shekhawati Region

Smt Roli Singh, Principal Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan in New Delhi, said, “Rajasthan Government is committed to strengthening the Shekhawati region of the state in terms of tourism. For this, the state government has sent proposals worth ₹90 crores to the Central Government to develop the Shekhawati Tourism Circuit.”

Singh was speaking in a press conference at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, which was organised for the promotion of the upcoming Vedaranya Heritage and Healing Festival (VHAH Fest) at Ramgarh Shekhawati, Rajasthan from 12 to 15 February, 2021, under the joint aegis of the Government of Rajasthan and Shruti Foundation.

The Havelis made by the Seths of that era in this region are the living example of Rajasthan’s art and culture.

She said that Ramgarh Shekhawati in Sikar district is famous in the country and the world for the Havelis made by Seths. The Shekhawati area is known as the “World Capital of Wall Painting”. The Havelis made by the Seths of that era in this region are the living example of Rajasthan’s art and culture. She said that this festival would help conserve and preserve the Shekhawati region’s cultural and historical heritage.

On this occasion, Shruti Foundation’s founder Shruti Poddar said, “Shruti Foundation has been organising this festival since the year 2016 in Ramgarh Shekhawati in association with the state government. The foundation is continuously working to promote the art and the historical heritage of the region through this festival. The foundation is also doing many works to protect the economic and health wellness of local artists.”

Poddar further said that Ramgarh Shekhawati had got a new recognition in the world of Havelis architecture, cultural heritage through this anniversary festival. During this festival, she said that world-famous artists of Rajasthani culture make a live presentation of their art and craft.

On this occasion, producer-director Rama Pandey appealed to come to the upcoming festival and said, “Thana Bulawae Tharon Ramgarh and appealed people to come and visit this wonderful festival.” 

Padma Shri Dr Shobhana Narayan and INTEC National President Major General LK Gupta were also present in the program.
