Our Politics Needs To Involve The Constituents

voters

Post pandemic has thrived on populism, patriotism and pride as succour for political ordering, arrangement and mobilisation. Ideology taking a back seat with the convenience of caste alliances and arithmetic taking centre stage. People do count as constituents for retaining the popular bases of the said political organisation in question ranging from left to right.

In my opinion, increased political awakening and consolidation of community and classes in the face of social anarchy and economic disparity may not prove conducive to the reforming principle of present-day dispensation. However, I believe this has to be wisely appreciated and acknowledged for the policy and program makers whose main thrust lies in establishing India as a market for global goods.

Literally speaking, fantasy has no end except for arousing the minds of a tiny few as for the creation and generation of wealth controlled by empires and conglomerates known for their contacts, connections and networks. A common and ordinary person has to toil hard for resources, ensuring their dignity and survival, as witnessed during the lockdowns with the not so fortunate striving and struggling at every step.

Had political parties, apart from awarding roles and representations to the deprived and distressed, looked into it, then such a situation would have never arisen. Politics is increasingly becoming polarised and popularised around fictions and figures that make any transformation appear a tedious task. It’s upon our leaders to take a call for the better of the country’s future and fate.
