Quick Bytes: Will India Ever Speed Up In The Bullet-Train Race?

Is there any sensibility in the long-standing buzz that India had been involved in its drastic advancement in a straight race with China? We are still not able to complete the metro rail network. The bullet train is a distant dream without a doubt.

India has still not been able to complete its metro rail network.

Our PM sets a mark of proudly earning energy independence by the year 2047 through a blend of electric mobility, a gas-based economy, doping ethanol in petrol, and making the country a nook for hydrogen production. India still runs at 75 km per hour in the hood of 75th independence.

China’s new bullet train has created a big name in the world. It is reportedly the world’s fastest ground train with a whopping 373 mega per hour (600 km/h). Is there any train that runs at this speed? This maglev train, as it is referred to, gallops the 393 km distance of London to Edinburgh in less than an hour thereby mobilizing the happier passengers from city to city faster than an airplane as the moving train hops up above the tracks. Other trains take above four hours.

The question arises how has the odd locomotive achieved such a record speed? It runs using electro-magnets which helps driving the wagons forward with minimal friction.

Built in the coastal city of Qingdao in China, this state-of-the-art train has reportedly just won against the Japanese train record set at 603 km per hour in the year 2015. Will India be able to bring such advanced bullet trains in the hundredth year of its freedom?
