Since childhood, I’ve been hearing that a girl can either be a teacher or a doctor. These are the two professions that suit her. And yes, most importantly, if you become a teacher, you get to come back home early and do what a girl should actually do.
Time changes and it automatically creates a change in the human mind. Our curious mind wants to learn new things; in the same way, I was always interested in tech, how computers work and what people write on computers.
The journey to a software developer in a dominating society isn’t easy. Even once you have become a software developer, you are questioned by people regarding your job.
Where will you go to work? Where will you live? With what kind of people will you be working? When will you come back home? How will you manage after your wedding? How will you raise your kids? We had suggested you become a teacher and come back home early. This is what a girl is supposed to do.
We are even judged on our logical and technical skills, even when we are in the learning stage. Even though women are growing and breaking stereotypes, there are a lot of judgements being made. But yes, when a person tries to bring a change in their life, it changes the life of many people around them and brings a huge change in society and the coming generations.
