YKA recently launched a new website that’s faster, savvier and specially curated, keeping your user journey in mind. It’s an exciting new way to share your stories!

Here’s a quick starter pack to get started on your writing journey with YKA and to know everything under the YKA sun!

1. A new and safer login system

We recently introduced a new OTP-based login. Here’s all you need to know about it. You can also log in through Facebook and Gmail, but we strongly recommend signing in through the OTP-based login. Do keep in mind to use a functional email ID.

In case you face any difficulty, write us at info@youthkiawaaz.com & we’ll be quick to help! 🙂

2. Start Writing On YKA

We updated the ‘Start Writing’ page to make your writing journey and process smoother and to do our bit to help you pay undivided attention to your piece.

If you want to add images or format your paragraph, just press enter on your writing dashboard, and a ‘+’ sign will appear. Click on it and select the desired option! 🙂

3. What To Write?

We’ve got you covered. If you ever feel you run out of content ideas or just need help structuring your thoughts around an issue you want to write about; you can sign up for our prompts list here. We give weekly and monthly prompts to users like you who are passionate about speaking up and honing their writing skills.

4. How To Write?

Yep, we got that covered too!

We’ve put together this nifty Writer’s Resource Centre for budding & passionate writers like you. It has tips and tricks from the basics to more advanced aspects of writing. Do keep it handy as you go about your YKA journey.

5. Don’t Want To Write But Still Tell Your Story?

You can send in a video! Yes, you read that right. Tell stories on issues that matter to you the most, using just your mobile phone. Click here to share your video, and scroll down here for some tips to record your video. Change is just a mobile phone away 🙂

6. Increase Readership For Your Articles And Videos

As you establish yourself as a writer, it’s equally important to garner a critical readership for yourself on YKA. YKA is a platform, which means that you have complete control of how you grow here. Below are a few tips to help.

Your initial supporters and readers will often be people who know and relate to you and your thoughts. Circulate your post among friends and family and encourage them to share it further.

Post your pieces on social media and tag us on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram. Don’t forget to tag us @youthkiawaaz when you do, so we share it ahead with our entire community 🙂

7. Conduct Polls on popular topics and know what the community thinks

You can conduct polls here.

8. YKA’s Own Constitution

Being a democratic platform, YKA has its own constitution and community guidelines that help YKA be a safe space for young India to discuss, debate, and share their ideas. Every post published on YKA must adhere to the guidelines. Do check them out here 🙂

9. Write To Us

Last but not least, if you want to share feedback, ask a question, talk to the team, or have any concerns and queries, you can contact us here.
